From first-time players to those working toward Friday night lights, our program is built around the student-athlete experience—developing confident, capable young athletes in a safe, structured, and positive environment.

For kids going into grades 2–3, that means:

• An introduction to football
• Learn individual skills, basic plays & formations, team concepts
• Introduction to the rules
• Play multiple positions
• A fun environment

Our coaches are among the most dedicated in youth sports, focused on developing the whole athlete—on and off the field.

Because here, it’s not just about putting on a jersey. It’s about what it represents.

Registration opens May 19th

For Flag Football (going into 2nd & 3rd grade only) - includes a jersey with registration.

IMPORTANT: We are now using Crossbar for registration/website. If you are new to Crossbar you MUST first register with Crossbar before completing any football registrations. Click "Registration Help" below first for instructions.

Practices and games will be held at Hackberry Park in Orono (subject to change in 2026 due to Hackberry Park construction). 

Runs 6-7 weeks approx. starting late August through September

Will play 2 evenings per week

• First 2 weeks – all practice
• Second 2 weeks – 1 practice / 1 game
• Last 2 weeks – all games

Provided by Orono football:

• Team jersey
• Flag set

To be provided by athlete:

• Mouthguards - required
• Cleats (recommended but not required)

10-12 players per team (7 players on the field at one time)
