YOUTH TACKLE
WELCOME TO ORONO YOUTH FOOTBALL
Where it starts with a dream—and grows into something bigger.
From first-time players to those working toward Friday night lights, our program is built around the student-athlete experience—developing confident, capable young athletes in a safe, structured, and positive environment.
For kids going into grades 4–8, that means:
- Learning the fundamentals of football
- Building confidence, discipline, and teamwork
- Having fun and growing alongside their teammates
More Than a Team—A Standard
Our coaches are among the most dedicated in youth sports, focused on developing the whole athlete—on and off the field.
Because here, it’s not just about putting on a jersey.
It’s about what it represents.

Finances
We know your dollars are harder to come by and there is always a concern for the dollars you spend and the stewardship you have given the Orono Football Association. The OFA is a 501 (3)c non-profit organization and provides complete visibility into its financials. Be assured, that every dollar of your registration money goes only to the direct needs of our youth football players. Our goal is to get all our young athletes to the experience of playing under Friday night lights.
If current fees are in any way a concern or obstacle to you and your athlete's participation, please contact the OYF Director at: oronoyouthfootball@gmail.com.
Scholarships are always available.
THE LEAGUE
Orono Youth Football is a member of the Southwest Metro League (SWML), a youth football league with members from multiple sized schools. It is run by a board of directors consisting of one representative of each of the member districts.
